Dear followers,
On Tues we all headed to Mullingar Co. Westmeath to preform our dramas that we have been working on since the beginning of the year! Between the two TY classes there are four plays; Noughts&Crosses, But You Didn't, Time of Your Life and one other from Emnet which I can't remember the name of!(sorry)
I was part of Noughts&Crosses. It is based on a book written by Malorie Blackman. It's set in a world where black people are superior to white people. It tells the story of the love between a white boy Callum and a black girl Sephy. It is a great story and raises issues that teenagers now a days face, such as racism, pregnancy and bereavement.
All the plays went on without a problem and we all got great feedback from the judge! We won't find if we got through to the next stage till the end of next week. On the day there were two other schools, one from Kilkenny and the other from Donegal. It was interesting to see their ideas and approach to the brief.
So overall a good day, and I'll let you know if we got through or not!
Thanks,
Roisin.P.
